How much nature does a big city like Linz have to offer? An exciting search for traces deepens the pupils’ botanical-zoological knowledge.
Program:
Day 1:
The botanical garden with its flowers is worth a tour in every season. The nostalgic Pöstlingbergbahn railway then takes the pupils to the Pöstlingberg, the symbol of the city of Linz. It is the starting point for a visit to the zoo or the fairytale world of the grotto railway.
Day 2:
On a hike through the European reserve Traun-Donau-Auen you experience pure wilderness. The wetlands are home to a third of all plant species native to the Linz area and endangered animal species such as the Kingfisher or rare frog species. You can get a good overview of the exhibitions in the Ars Electronica Center during the highlight tour in the afternoon.
