The city of Klagenfurt honored the Carinthian Youth Hostel Association with the city’s social prize.
Mayor Christian Scheider presented the award and thanked the hostel association for its commitment. The team from the Carinthian Youth Hostel Association looked after the various families and residents with great sensitivity for several weeks after the fire in a residential building on Khevenhüllerstrasse.
In recent years, too, the Youth Hostel has quickly helped many people in emergency situations: For example, employees of the army during the Corona pandemic as well as refugees from Kosovo and Ukraine were accommodated.
CEO Markus Wutscher and Simona H. Wegscheider from the Youth Hostel in Klagenfurt accepted the social prize.
